Seriously? It's raining??
When I checked the weather earlier today there was not a chance of rain anywhere in the next five days… but then I washed my car.  Even now weatherbug says there’s only a 30% chance… Because I did the white man’s rain dance, that 30% turned into 100% chance over my house.

I haven't had any soda in more than two weeks.
Most of you don’t know me well enough to know how incredible that is…. but since I got the blood work back and found out how bad my blood sugar was…. well, something had to give. I had a few sodas left here at home, so I was saving up my carbs so I could drink one (or more like half of one) every now and then with a low carb meal.  Then they ran out, and I haven’t bought...

Nothing says romance like Walmart!
My best friend was showing off her ring this week.  This would be the ring she got from her current boyfriend.  This would be the boyfriend that she says makes 70k a year, no kids, and has never been married. Let me tell you about this ring.  It’s 10kt hollow/molded gold with a heart-shaped CZ.  She thinks this is the greatest thing and shows it off to everyone.  I asked her where he got it...

Last meal of 2011: Arthur Bryant's FTW!
The “entertainment” was even great - two miss-matched couples from Oklahoma driving the biggest Sierra I’ve ever seen.  The guys were all laid back, and the girls were so fake and high maintenance it made for great “dinner theater”.

The dog park was crowded
That’s the most dogs I’ve seen there in awhile.  Neesa and Maia got their play on, and came home some very happy and content pups. The sad news…  There’s a guy I see there every time I go who has two giant schnauzers.  Today he only had one with him.  Come to find out, he had to have the other one put down just three days ago due to some weird genetic time bomb that went...

I think I'm becoming lactose intolerant.
Every time I drink milk or eat yogurt I get nauseated.  Could be the fat, but cheese doesn’t seem to bother me as much….

Seeing red
I live off of Red Bridge Rd in south KC.  Where the road went over the Blue River it was curvy and the bridge was old… but it was the original RED bridge that gave the road it’s name.  Also, the train tracks crossed the road right there and cut through Minor Park.  It was really a nice little place along the road that had a “country” feel to it. A couple years ago, the...

Back from an amazing dinner
Went to Bristol.  Had a Caesar salad to start… it was definitely one of the better ones I’ve had.  Then I ordered the 6oz filet with lump crab cake.  Both were pretty good (the crab cake was baked crab, herbs, and enough egg white to hold it all together), but it was the sides that rocked my world.  I chose the roasted brussel sprouts with pancetta and touch of mustard and wild...

How to Let Go of Someone You Love
Accept what has happened - I feel I have for the most part.  To quantify how much…. probably 96-98% accepted.  Of course this can waiver on bad days, but see #7 Allow yourself to grieve - If they’re talking about crying… I can’t.  For several reasons.  The main ones being I cried enough in the relationship I don’t want to cry anymore.  Secondly I’m afraid if...

Peak Season at my work starts Monday...
This means working 7a-6p M-F and some hours on at least one Saturday for the next 3 weeks.  I’ve been trying very hard to get out, and stay out of the negative thinking lately… but this one is very hard for me to put a positive spin on.  *SIGH*

It's 11:17pm... just got home like 15 minutes...
I needed tonight so very badly.  A little dancing, a lot of laughs…  I think the highlight of the evening was when my best friend Alicia totally photo bombed this couple in front of us.  I laughed soooo hard!  I see more evenings like this in my future!

Randomness
1.  I’ve been losing like a follower a day.  I’m not all that controversial, and I’m not a spam poster, so that means I must be boring. 2.  Got out of the shower and heard my 14 year old daughter playing “Word Up” by Cameo pretty loud in her room. 3.  Saw a green striped Ford Econoline full-size van on the way home from work that had a sticker on the back of a death...
