I have lost scary amounts of weight….
I’m not far off from being my pre-Caleb weight. Believe me, that’s a lot of weight to lose in just 8 weeks or so.
There’s several factors as to why. The most obvious being the ending of the relationship. That tends to upset most anyone’s eating habits, but it’s actually the least of the reasons. Secondly, the bad blood sugar levels. This is probably the main reason… when I saw those numbers I got serious about about cutting out excess carbs (of which there were many). Thirdly, the metformin they put me on for the diabetes is known to help you lose weight. I don’t know how big a factor this one plays, but I’m sure it’s in the mix somewhere. Lastly, I’ve been walking again… almost daily. Oh, and somewhere in there is the fact that since the 1st of January I’ve been working 11 hour days and every other Saturday…. that kinda takes away from your time to cook or even go anywhere to eat.
The thing I’m afraid of is that I’m losing it too fast, and that I’ll put my body into some kind of starvation mode. Let’s hope not because I seriously can’t cut many more calories out of my diet without it affecting my health in a worse way.
